Avoid motorway fill-up

SIR – Terry Lloyd (Letters, October 10) is right about the high price of fuel at motorway service areas. But no driver is compelled to pay these prices and it is relatively simple to fill up before a journey. There are also guides to filling stations near motorway junctions, if the need arises on a long journey. Nick Milton
