Minister sexually assaulted me on TV, says researcher

-

A PARLIAMENTARY researcher has claimed she was sexually assaulted live on television by a Cabinet minister, according to a report last night.

The anonymous worker alleged she was groped by an unnamed Government figure during a broadcast as another MP looked on.

In The Sun, the researcher, who withheld her identity for fear of repercussions, said she was assaulted by the minister as filming took place at a community centre just outside Parliament.

She said: “The Cabinet minister who I was sitting next to – and who was old enough to be my grandad – put his hand under the table and ran his fingers along my thigh.

“Because I was young and didn’t want to cause a fuss in front of the many journalists watching us and while we were so close to an election, I continued to smile as his hand moved further and further up my leg.”

The woman, who said she was in her early 20s at the time, said the minister carried on touching her throughout the broadcast and claimed that another MP present did nothing to intervene despite seeing what was happening.

She wrote how she felt powerless to complain as all HR communications had to go through MPS.
