BUCKINGHAM PALACE June 7th

Admiral Sir Philip Jones was received by The Queen today upon relinquish­ing his appointmen­t as First Sea Lord and Chief of the Naval Staff.

Field Marshal the Lord Guthrie of Craigieban­k was received by Her Majesty upon relinquish­ing his appointmen­t as Colonel of The Life Guards and Gold Stick in Waiting when The Queen invested him with the Insignia of a Knight Grand Cross of the Royal Victorian Order.

Major General Sir Edward Smyth-osbourne was received by Her Majesty upon his appointmen­t as Colonel of The Life Guards and Gold Stick in Waiting.

The Queen, accompanie­d by The Duke of York, Colonel, Grenadier Guards, this afternoon gave a Luncheon at Buckingham Palace for the Grenadier Guards Ensigns who have carried The Queen’s Colour at The Queen’s Birthday Parade.

The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh were represente­d by Mr James Puxley (Her Majesty’s Lord-lieutenant of the Royal County of Berkshire) at the Service of Thanksgivi­ng for the Life of the Hon Mrs Bayliss (formerly Her Majesty’s Lord-lieutenant of the Royal County of Berkshire) which was held at Reading Minster of St Mary the Virgin, Reading, Berkshire, this afternoon.

The Duke of York was represente­d by Lady Mary Fagan, LG.

The Princess Royal was represente­d by Mrs Andrew Feilden.

The Duke of Kent was represente­d by Dame Sarah Goad.

The Queen was represente­d by Mrs. Michael Gordon Lennox (Lady in Waiting) at the Funeral of Mr Timothy Gibbs which was held in the Church of St John the Baptist, Cirenceste­r, Gloucester­shire, this afternoon.

CLARENCE HOUSE June 7th

The Prince of Wales, Royal Founding Patron, University of Cambridge Institute for Sustainabi­lity Leadership, this morning held a Meeting at Clarence House.

His Royal Highness this afternoon received Admiral Sir Philip Jones (First Sea Lord and Chief of the Naval Staff).

The Prince of Wales afterwards held a Discussion on Sustainabl­e Markets and Financing.

His Royal Highness later received Major General Benjamin Bathurst (General Officer Commanding London District and Major General Commanding Household Division).

The Prince of Wales, Colonel, Welsh Guards, this evening presided over a Conference attended by the Colonels of the Regiments of the Household Division and subsequent­ly entertaine­d the Colonels to Dinner at Clarence House.

KENSINGTON PALACE June 7th

The Duke of Cambridge, Colonel, Irish Guards, this evening attended the Senior Colonels’ Conference and Dinner at Clarence House.

BUCKINGHAM PALACE June 7th

The Duke of York this morning received Sir Ian Blatchford (Director, Science Museum Group).

His Royal Highness, Colonel, Grenadier Guards, this evening attended the Senior Colonels’ Conference and Dinner at Clarence House.

The Earl of Wessex, Royal Honorary Colonel, The London Regiment, this evening attended the Senior Colonels’ Conference and Dinner at Clarence House.
