Sir Stelios loses easyhotel battle

Sir Stelios Haji-ioannou, founder of easyjet, has lost his attempt to block the takeover of easyhotel, the chain he set up in 2004. A consortium of property investors ICAMAP and Ivanhoe Cambridge received enough acceptances of its 95p a share offer to tip its holding over the 50pc threshold.
