BUCKINGHAM PALACE October 31st

The following were received in audience by The Queen today and kissed hands upon their appointmen­t as Her Majesty’s Ambassador­s: Mr Matthew Field (Bosnia and Herzegovin­a), Ms Nicola Pollitt (the Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal) and Mr Christophe­r Trott (the Republic of South Sudan).

Ms Field-klisović, Mr Mark Perrin and Mrs Trott were also received by Her Majesty.

Miss Angela Macro was received in audience by The Queen upon her appointmen­t as British High Commission­er to the Kingdom of Lesotho.

Mr Peter Ashby was received by The Queen when Her Majesty invested him with the Insignia of a Commander of the Royal Victorian Order.

The Princess Royal, on behalf of The Queen, held an Investitur­e at Buckingham Palace this morning.

CLARENCE HOUSE October 31st

The Prince Charles, Duke of Rothesay, Patron, this afternoon attended a performanc­e by the Scottish Ballet at Dumfries House, Cumnock, Ayrshire.

His Royal Highness later received representa­tives of Aid to the Church in Need.

The Prince Charles, Duke of Rothesay, President, The Prince’s Foundation, this evening held a Dinner at Dumfries House for supporters.

The Duchess of Cornwall, President, Royal Voluntary Service, this afternoon received Mr Richard Greenhalgh upon relinquish­ing his appointmen­t as Chairman of Trustees and Mr Stephen Dunmore upon assuming the appointmen­t.

Her Royal Highness, Vice Patron, the Royal Commonweal­th Society, afterwards held a Reception at Buckingham Palace for The Queen’s Commonweal­th Essay Competitio­n.

ST JAMES’S PALACE October 31st

The Earl of Wessex, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, The Duke of Edinburgh’s Internatio­nal Award Foundation, this evening held a Dinner at Windsor Castle.

The Princess Royal, President, National Equine Forum, this afternoon attended the Organising Committee Meeting at the Kennel Club, 10 Clarges Street, London W1.

Her Royal Highness, President, the Royal Society for the encouragem­ent of Arts, Manufactur­es and Commerce, this evening attended the President’s Lecture and Dinner at 8 John Adam Street, London WC2, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-lieutenant of Greater London (Sir Kenneth Olisa).
