BUCKINGHAM PALACE February 26th

Admiral Anthony Radakin was received by The Queen today upon his appointmen­t as First Sea Lord and Chief of the Naval Staff.

Ms Bridget Brind was received in audience by The Queen this afternoon and kissed hands upon her appointmen­t as Her Majesty’s Ambassador to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.

Mr Nameer Al-hadithi was also received by Her Majesty.

Mr Nicholas Woolley was received in audience by The Queen upon his appointmen­t as British High Commission­er to the Republic of Zambia.

Ms Deborah Sidwell was also received by Her Majesty.

The Rt Hon Boris Johnson, MP (Prime Minister and First Lord of the Treasury), had an audience of The Queen this evening.

By command of The Queen, Mr Alistair Harrison (Marshal of the Diplomatic Corps) called upon His Excellency Mr Kristóf Szalay-bobrovnicz­ky at 35 Eaton Place, London SW1, this afternoon in order to bid farewell to His Excellency upon relinquish­ing his appointmen­t as Ambassador from Hungary to the Court of St James’s.

The Duke of Cambridge this morning visited Tarmac’s National Skills and Safety Park, Nether Langwith, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lordlieute­nant of Nottingham­shire (Sir John Peace).

His Royal Highness afterwards visited the Beacon Project, Wood Street, Mansfield.

The Duchess of Cambridge, Patron, Sportsaid, this morning visited the London Stadium, Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, London E20.

Her Royal Highness, Joint Patron, the Royal Foundation of The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, this afternoon held an Early Years’ Meeting.

The Countess of Wessex, Global Ambassador, Internatio­nal Agency for the Prevention of Blindness, this evening held a Reception for Vision for the Commonweal­th at St James’s Palace.

The Princess Royal, Patron, National Museum of the Royal Navy, this morning visited the National Museum of the Royal Navy Hartlepool and HMS Trincomale­e, Jackson Dock, Maritime Avenue, Hartlepool, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-lieutenant of County Durham (Mrs Susan Snowdon).

Her Royal Highness, Patron, Royal College of Occupation­al Therapists, later opened the Intermedia­te Care Centre at Meadowgate, Eston, Middlesbro­ugh, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-lieutenant of North Yorkshire (Mrs Johanna Ropner).

The Princess Royal, President, Riding for the Disabled Associatio­n, this afternoon opened the new facilities at the Unicorn Centre, Stainton Way, Hemlington, Middlesbro­ugh.

Princess Alexandra, Royal Honorary Colonel, The Royal Yeomanry, this afternoon received Lieutenant Colonel Conn Macevilly upon relinquish­ing his appointmen­t as Commanding Officer and Lieutenant Colonel Thomas Bragg upon assuming the appointmen­t.

Her Royal Highness, Patron, Blackie Foundation Trust, received Dr Sara Eames upon assuming her appointmen­t as Chairman.

Mr Robin Holland-martin (formerly President) was present.
