The Queen held a Council via telephone at 11.25 a.m.

There were present: the Rt Hon Jacob Rees-mogg, MP (Lord President), the Rt Hon Robert Jenrick, MP (Secretary of State for Housing, Communitie­s and Local Government), the Rt Hon Gavin Williamson, MP (Secretary of State for Education), and the Rt Hon Edward Young (Private Secretary to The Queen).

Mr Richard Tilbrook was in attendance as Clerk of the Council.

The Rt Hon Boris Johnson, MP (Prime Minister and First Lord of the Treasury), had an audience of Her Majesty via telephone this evening.

The Prince of Wales, Royal Founding Patron, the British Asian Trust, this morning held a Meeting of the Advisory Council via video link.

KENSINGTON PALACE May 20th

The Duke of Cambridge, Joint Patron, the Royal Foundation of The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, this morning held a video conference call with representa­tives from Lifelines Scotland and emergency responders across Scotland.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge this afternoon talked to staff and residents from Shire Hall Care Home, Cardiff, via video link.

ST JAMES’S PALACE May 20th

The Earl of Wessex, Royal Honorary Colonel, Royal Wessex Yeomanry, this morning held a Meeting via telephone with Lieutenant Colonel Ruthven Burdon-cooper upon relinquish­ing his appointmen­t as Commanding Officer and Lieutenant Colonel Charles Speers upon assuming the appointmen­t.
