West Indies dig deep to take control of Test

-

England trail the West Indies by 99 after an excellent day for the tourists left them with a strong grip on the first Test. Shane Dowrich led the way with 61 as the batsmen registered 318 in their first innings, providing England with a template for today when they resume on 15-0. Stuart Broad, meanwhile, said he felt “angry, frustrated and gutted” about being left out, as the two pacemen who got the nod ahead of him, Jofra Archer and Mark Wood, returned combined figures of 1-135.
