PRINCE CHARLES put in the most working hours of all of the Royal family during lockdown, according to research revealing the hardest-working members of the monarchy.

As the Royal family adjusted to the coronavirus outbreak by carrying out official engagements on Zoom, a trawl of the Court Circular found that the heir to the throne had performed 69 duties since March 23.

This included holding video conferencing calls, attending a commissioning ceremony at the Royal Air Force and visiting Transport for London.

The 71-year-old was closely followed by his eldest son and heir, Prince William, 38, with 65, his wife Kate, 38, trailing in at seventh place on 34 jobs.

Even though the Queen was forced into self-isolation at Windsor Castle when the pandemic hit, the 94-yearold monarch still managed to carry out 54 engagements – equivalent to 43 days’ work, according to the report by careers website resume.io.

As well as giving a televised coronavirus address evoking the lyrics of Dame Vera Lynn’s We’ll Meet Again, the Queen took part in her first video conferencing call, along with Princess Anne, in June to mark Carers Week.

The Queen’s daughter, who turns 70 next month, was the fourth-hardest working member of the Royal family, having clocked up 42 engagements, followed by Sophie, the Countess of Wessex, on 36. Her husband, Prince Edward, has carried out 35 duties – the equivalent of 25 days worked.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were not included as they have stepped down as senior Royals, and Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie’s engagements are not listed on the Court Circular.
