WINDSOR CASTLE October 15th
The Queen, accompanied by The Duke of Cambridge, this morning visited the Defence Science and Technology Laboratory Porton Down, Salisbury, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-lieutenant of Wiltshire (Mrs Peter Troughton) and the Chief Executive (Mr Gary Aitkenhead).
Her Majesty and His Royal Highness toured the facility, meeting members of staff and viewing demonstrations of the work carried out.
The Duke of Cambridge, on behalf of The Queen, presented the Firmin Sword of Peace to Colonel Michael Duff, who received the Sword on behalf of Headquarters South West.
Her Majesty, accompanied by His Royal Highness, subsequently officially opened the new Energetics Analysis Centre.

The Duke of Kent, Patron, London Philharmonic Orchestra, this morning held a Meeting via video link with Lady Robey (Chairman of the Board and Advisory Council), Mr Martin Höhmann (President) and Mr David Burke (Chief Executive of the Orchestra).
His Royal Highness, President, Royal United Services Institute for Defence and Security Studies, this afternoon attended a Lecture on “the Impact of Covid 19 on the Global Terrorist Landscape” via video link.
