His Excellency Mr Hajime Hayashi was received in audience by The Queen today via video link and presented the Letters of Recall of his predecessor and his own Letters of Credence as Ambassador from Japan to the Court of St James’s. Mrs Hayashi was also received by Her Majesty. His Excellency Mr João Vale de Almeida was received in audience by The Queen via video link and presented his Letters of Credence as Ambassador from the European Union to the Court of St James’s. Mrs Ana Jara de Carvalho was also received by Her Majesty. The Queen this evening held a Reception at Windsor Castle to mark the Global Investment Summit. The Prince of Wales, The Duke of Cambridge, The Duke and Duchess of Gloucester and Prince Michael of Kent, with the Lord Frederick Windsor, were present.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge this afternoon held a Reception in the Sunken Garden at Kensington Palace to mark the unveiling of the Statue of Diana, Princess of Wales. The Duchess of Cambridge, Patron, Forward Trust, this morning attended the launch of the Taking Action on Addiction Campaign at the British Academy of Film and Television Arts, 195 Piccadilly, London W1.
