Swedish gang ‘plotted Christmas doorstep murder of father for months’

- By Izzy Lyons

SWEDISH killers plotted for six months to murder a father on his doorstep on Christmas Eve, a court has heard.

Flamur Beqiri, 36, was shot “at very close range” outside his £1.5million house in Battersea, south-west London, at around 9pm while his wife and twoyear-old son were also at home. The father of two, who holds joint Swedishalbanian citizenship, is the brother of reality television show star Misse Beqiri, who featured on the programme The Real Housewives of Cheshire.

On the night, Mr Beqiri went out for dinner in Sloane Square, west London, with his wife, Debora Krasniqi. When they returned, he was approached from behind and repeatedly shot in an attack caught on CCTV, Southwark Crown Court heard. “The victim was quite deliberately killed in cold blood,” said prosecutor Mark Heywood QC. “It happened on a quiet London street. A man coming back to his home with his young family was shot and killed in front of them. Mr Heywood said the murder had been planned for about six months, with the killers coming from Sweden before returning and recruiting a local team “to tidy up once they had gone”.

The alleged gunman, Swedish/tunisian national Anis Hemissi, 24, denies murder and possession of a self-loading pistol. Swedish nationals Estevan Pinomunizaga, 35, Tobias Fredrik Andersson, 32, and Bawer Karaer, 23, who are said to have been part of the team “on the ground” also deny murder.

UK national Clifford Rollox, 31, of Islington, north London, and Dutch national Claude Isaac Castor, 21, deny perverting the course of justice. The case continues.
