The Queen was represented by the Hon Mary Morrison (Lady in Waiting) at the Memorial Service for Fortune, Duchess of Grafton (Mistress of the Robes) which was held at The Queen’s Chapel of the Savoy, London WC2, today.
By command of Her Majesty, Mr Alistair Harrison (Marshal of the Diplomatic Corps) called upon Her Excellency Ms Nomatemba Tambo at South Africa House, Trafalgar Square, London WC2, this morning in order to bid farewell to Her Excellency upon relinquishing her appointment as High Commissioner for the Republic of South Africa in London.

The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall this morning attended a Reception at Canada House, Trafalgar Square, London SW1, in advance of Their Royal Highnesses’ tour to Canada.
The Prince of Wales this afternoon officially opened the Levine Building at Trinity College, Oxford, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-lieutenant of Oxfordshire (Mrs Marjorie Glasgow).
His Royal Highness afterwards held a Meeting with the Baroness Amos at University College, Oxford.
The Duchess of Cornwall this afternoon visited HMS Prince of Wales, Portsmouth, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-lieutenant of Hampshire (Mr Nigel Atkinson).

The Duke of Cambridge, Joint Patron, the Royal Foundation of The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, this morning visited the Heart of Midlothian Football Club, Tynecastle Park, Mcleod Street, Edinburgh, and was received by Mr Kingsley Thomas (Deputy Lieutenant of the City of Edinburgh).

Mons Officer Cadet School Officers from Intake 50, the last Salerno Company, Mons Officer Cadet School, who were commissioned on May 12, 1972, held a 50th anniversary dinner at the Army and Navy Club last night. Brig the Hon Hugh Monro presided.

THE NOT FORGOTTEN ASSOCIATION
The Princess Royal, accompanied by Vice-adml Sir Tim Laurence, attended the annual garden party of The Not Forgotten Association held yesterday in the grounds of Buckingham Palace, by kind permission of the Queen, for injured serving and ex-service men and women and those with disabilities and their escorts. They were met by the Association’s Presidents, Admiral of the Fleet Sir Benjamin Bathurst, Gen Lord Dannatt and Air Chief Marshal Sir Stephen Dalton. The Chairman, Mr David Cowley, Vice Chairman, Mr Mark Nicholls, and Head of Events, Ms Rosie Thompson, were also present. The Band of the Royal Marines, Portsmouth (Royal Band), played during the afternoon by kind permission of Lt Col Burcham, RM, Principal Director of Music Royal Marines, under the direction of Capt Daniel Button, RM, and Beat Retreat.
UK Fashion and Textile Association, this morning opened the Sustainability in UK Textiles Conference at Drapers’ Hall, Throgmorton Avenue, London EC2.
Her Royal Highness afterwards opened the Diagnostic Imaging Centre at the Royal Brompton Hospital, part of the Guy’s and St Thomas’s NHS Foundation Trust, Sydney Street, London SW3, and was received by Lady Arnold (Deputy Lieutenant of Greater London).
The Princess Royal, Patron, the Not Forgotten Association, accompanied by Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence, held an Afternoon Party in the garden of Buckingham Palace.
The Queen’s Body Guard of the Yeomen of the Guard was on duty.
The Band of Her Majesty’s Royal Marines Portsmouth played selections of music during the afternoon.
Her Royal Highness, Honorary Air Commodore, Royal Air Force Brize Norton, accompanied by Admiral Laurence, this evening attended the Bomber Command Dinner in the Officers’ Mess, Royal Air Force Brize Norton, Carterton, Oxfordshire.
