Judge Moore has retired as a Circuit Judge with effect from Dec 20 2023.

Prof Richard Susskind has stepped down as Technology Adviser to the Lady Chief Justice, after 25 years in the post.

Mark Milliken-smith, KC, has been appointed a Circuit Judge to the South Eastern Circuit, based at Kingston Crown Court, with effect from Dec 20 2023. He will be known as His Honour Judge Milliken-smith KC.

Rachel Drake has been appointed a Circuit Judge to the South Eastern Circuit, based at Reading Crown Court, with effect from Jan 2 2024. She will be known as Her Honour Judge Drake.

Leslie Cuthbert has been appointed a Circuit Judge to the South Eastern Circuit, based at Snaresbrook Crown Court, with effect from Jan 3 2024. He will be known as His Honour Judge Cuthbert.

Subhankar Banerjee has been appointed a Circuit Judge to the South Eastern Circuit, based at Guildford Crown Court, with effect from Jan 8 2024. He will be known as His Honour Judge Banerjee.

Charles Thomas has been appointed a Circuit Judge to the North Eastern Circuit, based at Sheffield Combined Court (Crown), with effect from Jan 8 2024. He will be known as His Honour Judge Charles Thomas.

Richard Anthony Bennett has been appointed a Circuit Judge to the North Eastern Circuit, based at Teesside Combined Court (Crown), with effect from Jan 29 2024. He will be known as His Honour Judge Richard Bennett.

William Hanbury has been appointed a Circuit Judge to the North Eastern Circuit, based at Newcastle Civil & Family Courts and Tribunals Centre, with effect from Feb 5 2024. He will be known as His Honour Judge Hanbury.
