The Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh afterwards visited Rising Brook Community Church, Burton Square, Stafford.

The Princess Royal, Patron, Livability, this morning visited New Court Place, 99 Whitehouse Avenue, Borehamwoo­d, to mark its One Hundred and Eightieth Anniversar­y and was received by the Reverend Patrick Moriarty (Deputy Lieutenant of Hertfordsh­ire).

Her Royal Highness this afternoon opened First Garden

Cities Homes’ Sheltered Housing Scheme at John Coxall Court, Letchworth Garden City, and was received by His Majesty’s Lord-lieutenant of Hertfordsh­ire (Mr Robert Voss).

The Princess Royal, Patron, the Butler Trust, later visited His Majesty’s Prison/young Offenders Institute Aylesbury, Bierton Road, Aylesbury, and was received by His Majesty’s Lord-lieutenant of Buckingham­shire (the Countess Howe).
