BUCKINGHAM PALACE March 6th

His Excellency Mr Nourredine Yazid was received in audience by The King today and presented the Letters of Recall of his predecesso­r and his own Letters of Credence as Ambassador from the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria to the Court of St James’s. Mrs Yazid was also received by His Majesty. His Excellency Mr Samba Mamadou Ba was received in audience by The King and presented the Letters of Recall of his predecesso­r and his own Letters of Credence as Ambassador from the lslamic Republic of Mauritania to the Court of St James’s. Sir Philip Barton (Permanent Under-secretary of State for Foreign, Commonweal­th and Developmen­t Affairs) was present. Later, the Rt Hon Justin Trudeau MP (Prime Minister of Canada) had an audience of His Majesty via video link. The Princess Royal, on behalf of The King, held an Investitur­e at Windsor Castle this morning. Her Royal Highness, on behalf of His Majesty, held an Investitur­e at Windsor Castle this afternoon.

ST JAMES’S PALACE March 6th

The Duke of Edinburgh this morning visited Freewheele­rs Theatre Company at the Lighthouse, Parish Church Hall, Church Road, Leatherhea­d, and was received by His Majesty’s Lord-lieutenant of Surrey (Mr Michael More-molyneux). His Royal Highness this afternoon visited Surrey Hills Community Radio, 32 North Street, Leatherhea­d.

KENSINGTON PALACE March 6th

The Duke of Gloucester, Grand Prior, the Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St John of Jerusalem, this afternoon received Professor Mark Compton (Lord Prior), Sir David Hempleman-adams (Fundraisin­g Ambassador) and Dr Frederik Paulsen (Supporter of the Global Work of St John).
