The second and final weekend of the 2024 Camrose has taken place at the Cresta Court Hotel in Altrincham, near Manchester,

writes Julian Pottage, Bridge Correspond­ent. England retained the trophy having started the second weekend in second place behind the English Bridge Union team.

Results for the two weekends combined are as follows:

1st England (Andrew Black, David Gold, Peter Crouch, Simon Cope, Tom Paske, Andrew Mcintosh and non-playing captain Peter Hasenson) 148.44 VPS

2nd English Bridge Union (Tim Leslie, Mike Bell, Stefano Tommasini, Ben Norton, Sarah Bell and NPC Paul Barden) 131.51 VPS

3rd Ireland (Mark Moran, John Carroll, Tom Hanlon, Conor Boland, Ciaran Coyne, David Walsh and NPC Gráinne Barton) 117.19 VPS

As well as the Camrose trophy itself, the teams competed for trophies for individual matches (with matches involving England and the English Bridge Union treated as a combined match).

Wales won two trophies: Patrick Jourdain (versus Scotland) and Causeway (versus Northern Ireland). Scotland won one trophy: Ken Baxter (versus Northern Ireland). Ireland won four trophies: Joe Moran (versus England), Cyfeillon Beiriste (versus Wales), An Cupa Cairdeas (versus Scotland) and Colonel Walshe (versus Northern Ireland).
