BUCKINGHAM PALACE

The King received the Baroness Scotland of Asthal (Commonweal­th Secretaryg­eneral) this afternoon.

His Majesty held a Council at 4.15 pm.

There were present: the Rt Hon Penelope Mordaunt MP (Lord President), the Rt Hon Alexander Chalk MP (Lord Chancellor and Secretary of State for Justice), the Rt Hon Oliver Dowden MP (Deputy Prime Minister, Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster and Secretary of State in the Cabinet Office) and the Rt Hon Gregory Hands MP (Minister for Trade Policy and Minister for London).

At the Council, The King pricked the List of High Sheriffs for the Counties of England (other than Cornwall and those in the Duchy of Lancaster) and Wales.

After the Council, the Rt Hon Oliver Dowden MP had an audience of The King when His Majesty pricked the List of High Sheriffs for the Counties of the Duchy of Lancaster.

Mr Richard Tilbrook was in attendance as Clerk of the Council.

The Rt Hon Sir Clive Alderton (Principal Private Secretary to Their Majesties) was in attendance.

The Rt Hon Penelope Mordaunt MP had an audience of The King before the Council. Later, the Rt Hon Rishi Sunak MP (Prime Minister and First Lord of the Treasury) had an audience of His Majesty.

The Queen, Honorary Member, the Jockey Club, today attended the Cheltenham Festival at Cheltenham Racecourse, and was received by His Majesty’s Lord-lieutenant of Gloucester­shire (Mr Edward Gillespie).

The Prince of Wales, President, the Earthshot Prize, this morning held a Meeting at Windsor Castle.

ST JAMES’S PALACE

March 13th

The Duchess of Edinburgh this morning visited Haywards Heath Police Station, 1b Bolnore Road, Haywards Heath, and was received by His Majesty’s Lord-lieutenant of West Sussex (the Lady Emma Barnard).

Her Royal Highness, President, South of England Agricultur­al Society, this afternoon met participan­ts in the Jim Green Challenge, the South of England Showground, Selsfield Road, Ardingly, West Sussex.

The Duchess of Edinburgh afterwards visited Super Siblings, Manor Green College, Lady Margaret Road, Crawley, West Sussex.

KENSINGTON PALACE

March 13th

The Duke of Gloucester this morning officially opened St Martin’s House Norwich, 120 Thorpe Road, Norwich, and was received by His Majesty’s Lord-lieutenant of Norfolk (the Lady Dannatt).

His Royal Highness afterwards officially opened the Henry Cator Building at East Norfolk Sixth Form College, Church Lane, Gorleston-on-sea, Great Yarmouth, and was received by Mr Michael Gurney (Vice Lord-lieutenant of Norfolk).

The Duke of Gloucester this afternoon visited Headway Norfolk and Waveney - Great Yarmouth, the King’s Centre, 30 Queen Anne’s Road, Great Yarmouth, and was received by Mrs Philippa Taylor (Deputy Lieutenant of Norfolk).

His Royal Highness later visited Soul Church, Heartsease Lane, Norwich.

The Duke of Kent, Grand Master, United Grand Lodge of England, this evening attended a Meeting of Royal Alpha Lodge Number 16 at Freemasons’ Hall, 60 Great Queen Street, London WC2, held to commemorat­e Prince Michael of Kent’s Fiftieth Year of Membership.
