INK IT OVER

Whilst on his travels in south-east Asia, my friend, Alex Gurnee (top left), decided to have a woodcock tattooed on his right shoulder. For the rest of his days this inked bird will be pressed against the stock of his gun, often fired at woodcock in the West of Ireland. Is this a first? Eoin O’conor
