going well for leather
QI have an ancient crocodile-skin suitcase, badly in need of repair, plus a handbag. I would be keen to hear of someone who takes on this sort of work. Can you help? RMW, Yorkshire
AThe Leather Conservation Centre (LCC) offers conservation and restoration of items partially or wholly made of leather. Staff suggest that, in the first instance, you email photographs to them of the items that require repair. They will write a report, based on these images, suggesting how best to treat the items and with an approximate idea of cost. Email photographs to lcc@northampton.ac.uk, tel 01604 719766 or go to www.leatherconservation.org
