DARTMOOR PONY SALE

A new study by Aberystwyth University has discovered the Dartmoor Hill Pony has unique, distinct genetics “for adaptive upland living that is worthy of protection”. In October, all Dartmoor Hillies, as they are now known, are brought onto farms for a health check. Surplus stock is sold at the annual pony drift sale held on 12 October at Chagford market.
