Empty flask

As an enthusiastic amateur maker of homemade tipples and occasional judge at village shows, I was keen to enter my latest recipe, which I feel is particularly successful (Hip-flask Challenge, September issue).

However, my husband is careful about which friends and family are treated to a taste. On discovering that I proposed sending 500ml for the competition, he was aghast. He would welcome an invitation to the office Christmas party but my entry will not be winging its way to The Field offices.
