SPOILED SPORRANS

QI am in possession of two rather elderly sporrans, both past their sell-by dates. I would like to try and find a company that can take pieces from both and incorporate them into a new sporran. Can you help?

AMonty Lewis describes himself as an “Englishman who has an obsession with being a Scotsman”, which is why he has just produced a collection of 13 sporrans, bringing together many intricate processes. Depending on the condition of your sporrans, Lewis can remove the cantle and tassels and incorporate these into the body of a new one, using the old chain if appropriate or drawing up a new one if necessary. If the sporrans are in reasonable condition there is a chance they could be restored. In the first instance, send photographs to monty@montylewis.uk for an idea of costings. On acceptance of a quotation, work takes six to eight weeks.
