EDGAR DAVIDS will take sole charge of Bar­net’s sur­vival bat­tle af­ter the Bees con­firmed Mark Rob­son has left his joint-head coach role.

Rob­son was ap­pointed head coach in the sum­mer but his po­si­tion has been shrouded in doubt ever since former Hol­land in­ter­na­tional mid­fielder Edgar Davids was brought in to share team du­ties.

A Bar­net state­ment said: “It was felt clar­i­fi­ca­tion was re­quired re­gard­ing the coach­ing re­spon­si­bil­i­ties.

“To this end it was agreed that Mark should leave with im­me­di­ate ef­fect.

“Edgar will con­tinue in his role as head coach and will take full re­spon­si­bil­ity for all first team mat­ters.”
