JON LAWRENCE – LEEDS UNITED

-

WELL, what a dispiriting afternoon that was.

Just when it looked like we were building up a bit of momentum, a performance that shows just how far off the promotion pace we really are.

Hull were better than us in literally every position and I don’t think any Leeds fan who saw the game could argue with the result.

If anything, it could have been even worse.

The owners have said they don’t want to spend big in January but they’ll need to do something.

We need more energy in midfield, more pace throughout the side and a striker who can do the business when Becchio is out, so clearly some money needs to be spent by the club.

And while the gaffer deserves credit for trying to change the system, he still needs a better plan B.

Other teams have long since worked out that we will go long and we look increasingly easy to play against.
