KYLE CAN BE NEXT TOP HATTER

BURNLEY have snapped up Stockport’s young full-back Kyle Brownhill and the Clarets are hoping he’s the next on a long list of success stories.

Reading striker Adam Le Fondre started as a Hatter, as did Danny Whitehead who recently signed for West Ham, and Burnley’s development squad manager Simon Weatherstone believes 18year-old Brownhill could be the next star off their production line.

“Stockport seems to be a good breeding ground for young talent,” said Weatherstone.

“Danny Whitehead departed for West Ham and now Kyle has signed terms here. Hopefully he can progress into the first team in years to come.”
