ROY IS HAPPY TO GO SOLO

-

NORTHAMPTON TOWN striker Roy O’Donovan insists he is not fussy when it comes to his strike partners – or even if he has one at all.

Aidy Boothroyd has hinted he won’t be scared to let O’Donovan, who scored two goals in the first two games of the season, lead the line on his own.

“I’ve had a couple of different partners recently, they’ve tended to be younger than me,” said the 28-year-old O’Donovan.

“It has been good to pass on the little bit of experience I have to the younger guys.

“There was some negativity after the play-off final but we did well to get there and it’s about taking it a step further this season.”
