NOW KNOTT LANDS AT WYCOMBE

WYCOMBE WANDERES manager Gareth Ainsworth is relishing the opportunity to add Premier League talent to his squad after signing Sunderland midfielder Billy Knott on loan.

The 20-year-old made his Black Cats debut on the final day of last season, against Tottenham at White Hart Lane, and has previously enjoyed loan spells at AFC Wimbledon and Woking.

Knott scored eight goals in 20 appearances for Woking and clinched AFC Wimbledon’s young player of the year award and Ainsworth hopes he can have a similar impact at Adams Park.

“Billy’s a forward-thinking midfielder. He can play out on the left, in the No.10 role and in central-midfield.”
