A FAIRLY even game at Portman Road but Leeds eventually ran out 2-1 winners.

However Town started very brightly, with Cresswell and Tabb looking lively down the left.

David McGoldrick put the home side 1-0 up from a sweet 18 yard strike. They carried on the pressure, Cresswell hitting a dipping strike which hit the woodwork.

From then though the game turned. Varney finished and McCormack then put the visitors 2-1 ahead A draw would have been a fair result, but Leeds ground it out.
