HE’S THE toast of Brad­ford af­ter his lat­est goal ex­ploits that see him en­ter the club’s record books, but for Brad­ford City fans, there will be no bet­ter feel­ing than read­ing the club’s com­ments about their re­fusal to sell their star.

Nahki Wells was ruth­less, pro­lific and sub­lime to watch on an af­ter­noon when the Ban­tams claimed the York­shire brag­ging rights to con­tinue their su­perb start to the sea­son.

Af­ter four games, they sit in­side the play-offs; a great achieve­ment for a side who were pro­moted into League One only last year.

Well-drilled and aes­thet­i­cally pleas­ing on the eye, Phil Parkinson has cer­tainly got the feel-good fac­tor back at Brad­ford. Sh­effield United were far from poor but the loss of Fe­bian Brandy hit them hard.
