COUNTY CASH IN ON CUP

NOTTS COUNTY chairman Ray Trew says the Magpies will land a double financial boost from their second round Capital One Cup tie with Liverpool on Tuesday.

In addition to the television revenue, the club have also struck a one-off shirt sponsorship deal with bookmakers Ladbrokes for the Anfield clash.

“The level of commercial interest that we have had in this fixture shows how big a game it is for the club,” said Trew.

“The deal is invaluable to a club like Notts County.We simply wouldn’t be able to achieve our goals without backing.”
