OLDHAM boss Lee Johnson says Jonson Clarke-Harris has earned his 18-month extension after proving his worth in League One.

The teenager had scored six times before this weekend since moving to Boundary Park this summer and Johnson says the contract shows the club value his contribution.

“When we brought him in, it was a test for him to see if he could cope at this level. He has improved a lot, we believe in him and he will continue to improve,” said Johnson.

“He still needs to improve but if he keeps the same attitude he has shown, he has a very good chance of having a good career.”
