MICK TALKS TABB BACK INTO TEAM

JAY TABB believes that some frank talking from manager Mick McCarthy has saved his season after he fought his way back into the first team at Ipswich Town.

The 29-year-old found himself in and out of the Tractor Boys’ side at the end of last year, but then he had a heart-to-heart with McCarthy.

And he says that the chat has put him back on the right path.

“We had a good chat about it and the gaffer asked me why I hadn’t been playing so well,” said Tabb.

“We looked at it and decided that when I’m not in the team I’ve got to do a bit extra before or after training to keep my sharpness up.”
