GILLESPIE SWITCHES CITY SIDES
HE started his career at Bristol City but Steven Gillespie is just glad to be back in familiar surroundings – albeit in Rovers colours.
The 28-year-old striker scored once in 12 league games for the Robins at Ashton gate between 2004 and 2006.
But after signing for the Pirates until the end of the season, the former Fleetwood forward is keen to make up for lost time.
“I am really pleased. As soon as the call came I was really excited, and I am glad to get it all signed and be back in Bristol,” he said.
“I am looking forward to playing first team football, and it won’t take me much to get up to speed.”
