KARANKA RULES OUT SPAIN KIDS

-

MIDDLESBROUGH boss Aitor Karanka has been forced to change his transfer plans this summer – after claiming young Spanish players are not suited to the Championship.

Karanka, Jose Mourinho’s assistant at Real Madrid, was planning to delve into the Spanish market for fresh talent, but has had a rethink.

“I thought young players from Spain could be interesting here, but now I know the league and the intensity of it I’m not sure that kind of player could be good enough to play here,” he said.

“It’s not important whether the players are from Spain, Italy or England. I have to be very sure they will make us better.”
