MILLS IS PROVING HE’S A TOP BOSS
I WAS up in Cambridge this week speaking to Richard Money, whose side take on Gateshead at Wembley next Sunday for a place in the Football League.
When you look at the facilities, the support and the players Cambridge have got, they’re more than ready for a return after nine years away.
But while I’m full of admiration for the U’s, I have to take my hat off to Gary Mills, the Gateshead manager. Gary did a fantastic job getting York into the Football League in 2012 and I think everybody felt he was harshly sacked.
He’ll be doing his utmost to get his second promotion from the Skrill Premier with outsiders Gateshead. He’s turned a team nobody fancied into an attractive unit who are so difficult to score against.
I can’t wait for the game and whoever gets through will be a great asset to the Football League next season.
