MARK War­bur­ton has is­sued a hands-off warn­ing to any­one eye­ing up his high-fly­ing Brent­ford stars – un­less they are will­ing to pay the right price in Jan­uary.

After Adam For­shaw’s sum­mer trans­fer saga – Wi­gan hav­ing two bids for the mid­fielder turned down be­fore the Bees ac­cepted a third – War­bur­ton as­sured fans he will not part with his as­sets lightly.

“Premier League clubs will want to add value to their squads, but we have made a state­ment with the For­shaw trans­fer,” he said.

“Play­ers will only be al­lowed to leave on our terms and when our val­u­a­tion is met.”
