MAC GETS RAP FROM BOSS NEIL

-

KEVIN McNaughton’s chances of making a first appearance for Bolton Wanderers since October appear to be slim after Neil Lennon criticised his displays in training.

The 32-year-old defender, on loan from Cardiff City, was brought to the Macron Stadium by former Wanderers boss Dougie Freedman.

But current manager Lennon, 43, has been unimpressed with McNaughton’s fitness levels as he tries to break back into the Championship team’s plans.

“Kevin is just not training to the level we want him to and what he is required to,” the Bolton boss said.

“He’s not always 100 per cent fit, so we just have to keep an eye on him in terms of Saturday-Wednesday-Saturday games.”
