BIRD IS THE WORD FOR BOSS RON

RYAN Bird says he is determined to do his bit to help Hartlepool United avoid relegation from League Two.

The 27-year-old striker joined on a one-month loan last week from rivals Cambridge United, having struggled to cement his place in the U’s starting line-up.

“As a striker you need a run of games to get among the goals,” said Bird.

“I have spoken to Ronnie Moore and to people I know who have played for him and they’ve told me if I work hard then things will work for me.”
