BLUES IN FIGHT FOR THE POINTS
BIRMINGHAM City should not be deducted points, according to the receivers of the club’s parent company.
Birmingham International Holdings Limited, based in Hong Kong, went into receivership last month.
The receivers, Ernst and Young, told the League that they do not believe that their appointment should be considered as an ‘insolvency event’ under Football League regulations.
If the League decided otherwise, the Blues could be deducted ten points – putting them in relegation trouble.
The League also received confirmation that the club have sufficient funds to complete the season.
