You can bank on the Grecians
EXETER’S players are hungry for success on the field – and want to make sure people in the city aren’t hungry off it.
The Grecians will have supporters’ collections for Exeter Foodbank at the home matches against AFC Wimbledon and Stevenage later this month – and the club’s first-team squad made the first contributions to kick-start the campaign.
Tinned meats, sauces, long-life milk, juice, cereals, tea, coffee, biscuits and toiletries were amongst the items that the players brought along to lay the foundation for the collection.
Winger David Wheeler, 24, said: “We hope that the donation which our squad has made will lay the base for a successful collection from our supporters and that it has a positive impact in our local community.”
