Team mates

- Harry Bunn - Huddersfield Town forward

Best mate at the club? I get on well with all the lads, we’re a pretty tight-knit squad, but I’ve played against Conor Coady since we were about nine and I’ve known Tommy Smith since we were 13 at Manchester City together, so I’d say I’m closest to those two. Last to buy dinner? A few of the lads would say Sean Scannell – it’s not so much that he’s tight but he has a bit of a reputation for borrowing money and conveniently forgetting to give it back! But I’d say Tommy Smith. He can be very slow to get his wallet out on a night out. Worst dressed? Joe Lolley. He’s straight from uni, so he still dresses like a student which isn’t a great look. Sometimes it will be a tracksuit, sometimes a dodgy jumper but it’s never good! The dressing room DJ? It’s usually Joel Lynch who will put his iPod on before the game – he’s got 80s, 90s, a bit of everything on there really. I don’t mind his choices but a couple of the lads aren’t that impressed with them. No-one else steps forward though, so it’s normally up to Joel. The most skilful? It’s definitely Sean Scannell – he’s got quick feet and he does a lot of stepovers but because he’s so strong, defenders find it hard to get close to him. I like to dribble with the ball but I don’t throw too many tricks in – I’ll leave that to Sean! Late for training? Jack Robinson is incredibly laid back – he’s always the last in and cuts it incredibly close. If it’s a 10am start, you know he will rock up at 9.59am and not be worried at all. Teacher’s pet? I don’t know if he is the manager’s (Chris Powell) favourite but Conor Coady definitely wants to be! He’s so keen to get on the gaffer’s good side and he’s been getting a bit of stick from some of the lads for it lately. Best cook? I know my way round the kitchen, so I’ll say me! I cook for myself at least which I’m pretty sure a lot of the guys don’t do! Never puts their phone down? Joe Lolley, but a lot of the lads are pretty bad for that, I must admit. If you step into the changing room most of the squad are on their phone – it wouldn’t look like we’re a particularly social lot! It’s mostly playing games or texting other people – we wouldn’t want to have to talk to each other! Partial to a sunbed? I know Tommy Smith used to use them a lot! He’s got a nice tan usually so it has to be him because it isn’t particularly sunny in Huddersfield at the moment. Going to make the best manager? I’d say our skipper Mark Hudson. He’s been in the game for a while now – he’s got the most experience in the squad and I reckon it’s something he’ll look into soon. He’ll make a really good manager because of his leadership skills. He doesn’t necessarily give big speeches but when he does speak, you listen – he says the right things at the right times and then he leads by example as well.
