THIRD TIME LUCKY FOR WILLIAMS?

-

JONNY WILLIAMS may be embarking on his third spell at Ipswich, but the Crystal Palace loanee insists there is still a huge target he is yet to achieve with the Tractor Boys.

The 21-year-old midfielder is a regular face at Portman Road, having enjoyed two previous stints at the East Anglian outfit in the past 12 months.

And the Wales international is hoping he can celebrate his hat-trick of loan moves to Ipswich by securing one of the fiercely contested play-off spots.

“I feel like I’ve got unfinished business here, so I’m delighted to be back and I’m raring to go,” Williams said.

“I’ve been here twice already, and last season we were very close to the top six. If a couple of moments had gone our way I think we could have finished in the play-offs.

“The difference between making the top six and missing out really is so slim.

“I’m hoping this year I can contribute over the last set of games to at least get us into that top six – if not higher.

“I have not played in five months, but hopefully the match fitness will come, as I’ve worked very hard to get to where I am now.”
