COBBLERS STAY EASY FOR JOEL

-

NORTHAMPTON midfielder Joel Byrom admitted his decision to sign a new contract with the club was a no-brainer.

The 28-year-old midfielder’s new deal keeps him at Sixfields Stadium until 2017 and Byrom admitted his future was never in doubt.

“I wanted to get it done as soon as possible, because I have been happy since I have been here,” he said.

“The future is sorted now, so the summer is my own, I am not going to have to look around for another club or anything.

“The manager told me he wanted to keep me, and I wanted to stay, so it was quite straightforward.”
