ELLIOT’S JUST THE MAN FOR HATTERS
LUTON goalkeeper Elliot Justham admits his progression over recent months has blown him away after extending his stay with the club until 2017.
It’s been a meteoric rise for the 24-year old, who signed for Hatters from East Thurrock in 2013, but was second choice goalkeeper until late February.
“The last two years have been a bit of a whirlwind and I’ve had to adapt to being a pro footballer, but I’m delighted to sign for another two years at this massive club,” he said.
“I’ve learned a lot and I have a lot of people to thank: Mark Tyler in particular, he’s been brilliant, as has Kevin Dearden since he’s come in as keeper coach; and the gaffer, of course.”
Manager John Still admitted Justham’s progression had been one of the highlights of the season.
“The one positive from our run of bad form was Elliot’s performances,” said Still. “He has come in and proven how good he is. He’s showed us all why we brought him to this football club.
“Mark might have been out injured but Elliot has grabbed his opportunity with both hands.”
