Loyal fan Joe’s crazy day out!
EXETER City fan Joe McCrea has been named the Sky Bet League Two Fan of the Month for March – but it could all have gone horribly wrong.
A missed alarm at 6am meant he failed to catch the supporters’ coach to Carlisle and put his ever-present season in jeopardy.
However, the student got a taxi to Exeter train station for 7.30am and paid £130 for a one-way ticket to Carlisle to ensure he was there to see the 3-1 victory.
He said: “I had to find a way of getting there and it turned into a day I will remember for the rest of my life.” Grecians boss Paul Tisdale,

Fulham fan Pete Wilkes took the Championship accolade and Bristol City supporter Jerry Tocknell the League One prize.
