Romelu Lukaku pulled a goal back for Everton but Tom Cleverley rifled in Villa’s third.

Everton’s Phil Jagielka then set up a tense finish. DEPARTING skipper Steven Gerrard headed home a late winner for Liverpool against ten-man QPR.

Gerrard nodded past Rob Green in the 87th minute having missed a penalty with the scores at 1-1.

Gomez put the Black Cats ahead on 21 minutes with his first penalty after Jose Fonte caught Billy Jones.

JEFFERSON Montero scored his first Swansea goal to lift his side past tenman Stoke.

After a goalless first half, the Swans’ pressure eventually told with 15 minutes left as Montero headed in Jonjo Shelvey’s cross.

Marc Wilson was sent off late on as he received a second yellow card for bringing down Montero, before Ki Sung-yueng scored the hosts’ second.

NEWCASTLE ended the game with nine men as they slumped to an eighthstra­ight loss.

Leicester were ahead after just 38 seconds when Leonardo Ulloa headed home, and it was 2-0 within 17 minutes as Wes Morgan poked home.

Ulloa scored from the penalty spot shortly after half-time before United had Mike Williamson and Daryl Janmaat red-carded.

Burnley goalkeeper Tom Heaton kept out Enner Valencia with a sharp save, but Sean Dyche’s side could only muster halfchance­s in response.
