EVANS IS AIMING TO SWAN IT

ROTHERHAM need look no further than south Wales for their inspiration this year – that’s according to Millers boss Steve Evans.

The Millers punched above their weight to stay in the Championship at the first time of asking last season.

And Evans believes his side can establish themselves in the second tier in much the same way Swansea have since their promotion to the Premier League in 2011.

“We need to establish ourselves as a Swansea of the Championship,” he said.

“They are mid-table in the Premier League and can they kick on? I think they can.

“We now need to become a side that people see as a solid second-tier club.”
