DYCHE IS ‘AMAZED’ BY WAGES

-

BURNLEY boss Sean Dyche admits he’s been left staggered by the amount of “cash-happy” clubs in the Championship – claiming some deals dwarf the Premier League wages being paid at Turf Moor last year.

The Clarets have kept their spending in check – despite adding £3.5m to the coffers following the sale of Kieran Trippier to Tottenham – with the £2.5m signing of former Middlesbrough striker Jelle Vossen their biggest outlay so far.

Dyche said:“I’m not blaming anyone, it’s everyone’s right to do business how they see fit, but I’m amazed by some of the wage deals. It is way beyond what we were paying in the Premier League.”
