BEES CAN BE PROUD DESPITE LOSS
LEYTON Orient put their tumultuous 2014-15 campaign firmly behind them, as they delivered an impressive performance against the Football League newcomers.
Both of the home side’s strikers got on the scoresheet as Jay Simpson and Paul McCallum gave them the three points with two goals in quick succession late on. Barnet probably edged proceedings in the opening 45 minutes, with Michael Gash missing their best chance of the half.
However, the home side rallied after half time and after dominating the second period they eventually got their just rewards late on.
The three points represent a solid platform for Orient but Barnet will be far from discouraged by their first display at this level.
